Here’s a little bit about what got our town where it is today.
1892
Originally settled in the late 19th century, developers purchased the town in 1892 and named it Bridgeport after where they had come from, Bridgeport, Connecticut.
1954
The town was officially incorporated on March 21, 1910.
1950
The biggest economic boom for the city came from the building of the Foster Creek Dam, later renamed the Chief Joseph Dam.
2024
Bridgeport today is a cozy town tucked up against the Columbia River and Rufus Woods Lake.
