The Clerk/Treasurer is responsible for protecting and properly accounting for the City’s funds
and financial operations, payroll, and human resources. The official for local legislation, the
Public Records Act and the Open Public Meetings Act. Prepares meeting agendas and ensures
that Council actions follow all federal, state, and local statutes and that all actions are properly
executed, recorded, and archived. This position is a service department within the municipal
government upon which the City Council, all city departments, and the public rely for
information regarding the legislative history of the City.
Performs a variety of highly responsible, confidential, skilled, professional, and complex
administrative and executive support-related tasks in relieving the City Clerk of administrative
detail while using independent judgement.
Responsible for billing of customer utility accounts. Provides general information to customers
regarding services, rates, and fees. Primary receptionist for City Hall both at the counter and the
telephone.
